This film depicts the final hours of Jesus
Christ, starting from His prayers in the Garden of Gethsemane and His
betrayal at the hands of Judas Iscariot. It goes on to show the trials He
endured under Pontius Pilate and King Herod as well as the torture and
ridicule He suffered in between. Once the death sentence is pronounced, He
carries a heavy wooden cross to Golgotha amidst throngs of jeering citizens
and horrendous beatings, while a few citizens do what they can to help Him.
Throughout this time, we are shown memories from His past with His mother
and Disciples, where He gives His teachings. Finally, He is crucified, dies,
and is buried, but resurrects from the dead on the third day. |

|
| An epic motion picture set in
an imaginative world of adventure, intrigue and romance, One Night With the
King follows a young girl who rises from peasant to princess by going
against the culture and seeking the King's heart rather than the riches of
the kingdom. "One
Night With The King" chronicles the life of the young Jewish girl, Hadassah,
who goes on to become the Biblical Esther, the Queen of Persia (400-322
B.C.), who saves the Jewish nation from annihilation at the hands of its
arch enemy while winning the heart of the fiercely handsome King Xerxes,
played by Luke Goss, 36 (" Charlie " 2004 ,Blade II," 2002; " The Man " 2005
).
"'One Night With The King'
is a multi-million dollar epic teeming with romance and imagery and complete
with suspense, political war conspiracies, and religious intrigue," says TBN
publicist, Susan Zahn of WDC Media.
"Having motion picture
legends Peter O'Toole (the Prophet Samuel) and Omar Sharif (Prince Memucan)
starring on the same bill only adds to the film's overall mystique," says
Zahn. "Who could forget the stunning epic, 'Lawrence of Arabia' (1962) and
its incredible visuals!" exclaims Zahn. "Or the mirage scene in which Omar
Sharif appears from the desert mist or the scene where Peter O'Toole returns
in Arab garb to be cheered as a hero by his army colleagues?" |

| Amazing Grace,
based on the life of antislavery pioneer William Wilberforce, is directed by
Michael Apted (The
World is Not Enough, Coal Miner's Daughter) from an original screenplay
written by Academy Award® nominee
Steven Knight (Dirty
Pretty Things).
Gruffudd plays Wilberforce,
who, as a Member of Parliament, navigated the world of 18th Century backroom
politics to end the slave trade in the British Empire.
Albert Finney plays John Newton,
a confidante of Wilberforce who inspires him to pursue a life of service to
humanity.
Benedict Cumberbatch is William Pitt the Younger,
England's youngest ever Prime Minister at the age of 24, who encourages his
friend Wilberforce to take up the fight to outlaw slavery and supports him
in his struggles in Parliament. Elected to the House of Commons at the age
of 21, and on his way to a successful political career, Wilberforce, over
the course of two decades, took on the English establishment and persuaded
those in power to end the inhumane trade of slavery. |
